李蔚(原名台修)先生1957年2月25日出生於台灣台北,父親為李慎吉、母親趙蘭芬,一個妹妹和一個弟弟,身為長男從小備受父母關愛。李蔚先生在珍愛的家人:細心照護他的妻子洪嘉珮、女兒李珊、兒子李思霆和許多其他心愛的家庭成員的陪伴下,於西元2023 年 6 月 21 日安祥地跟著菩薩走了,對所有認識他的人都留下了深遠的影響。
李蔚先生在台灣出生、長大,大學畢業後在第三核能發電廠任職,熱衷於機械工程領域,並持續精進,西元1987年,年屆30歲時開啟了人生的新章——移民美國。
李蔚先生在美國的生活從北卡羅來納州的基層作為起點,因為辛勤和能力受到肯定,一次因緣際會走入製造包裝用的氣泡部,被拔擢成為工廠經理。三年後,西元1990年與愛妻在台灣共結連理。
西元1992年,李蔚卓越的管理及專業能力受到賞識,得到機會在密西西比州的Amory一展身手,從零開始,開設及經營氣泡紙工廠,在他的工廠經理生涯裡為氣泡包裝行業做出了一定的貢獻。
李蔚先生的生活因為孩子們的到來而產生改變,西元1994年第一個孩子李珊出生,緊接著李思霆於1997年出生,他的生活更有衝勁,更圓滿。工作之餘會帶著全家旅遊,一家人在密西西比州生活和樂融融,孩子健康長大,工作穩定且與鄰里維持良好互動。
西元2010年,李蔚先生在長久的努力之下獲得了晉升的榮譽,連帶著生活領域的改變,一家人搬到了德克薩斯州的Allen。德克薩斯州成為他們的新歸屬,但是他們也不忘本,閒暇時經常回去密西西比州見見老朋友,維持著一定的聯繫。
李蔚先生有與他人建立長久友誼關係的能力,天性願意關懷他人,對於正面對著困難的朋友不吝伸出援手,支持他人、富有同情心是李蔚先生待人真誠的證明,並且在心中始終把妻子和孩子放在第一位,對家庭的愛大家有目共睹,和自身利益衝突時願意為家人作出犧牲,心胸寬大。
李蔚先生也有著言出必行的特質,勇敢承擔與盡責,保持良好職業道德,並能完成他下定決心要做的任何任務,尤其在密西西比州Amory期間,贏得了許多同事的尊重和欽佩,同時保持了和諧的家庭生活。
西元2017年,李蔚先生首次被診斷出患有扁桃腺癌,對於疾病的考驗他仍勇敢面對挑戰,在醫師的幫助及家人全力支持下病情成功獲得緩解。可惜西元2022年夏天癌症復發,同時要對抗口腔癌和肝癌並不容易,在與病魔的長期抗戰中,表現出了生命力和韌性。他用盡辦法想要戰勝病魔,為的就是能回到家人身邊。漫長的療程中,李蔚先生對妻子嘉珮的感激之情難以一語道盡,每次和醫生會面及治療後,一次一次對妻子嘉珮訴說感激之情和感謝她堅定不移的支持與愛,李蔚先生非常珍惜他們之間牢不可破的羈絆。
6月21日 清晨, 李蔚先生離開我們了。他離世時沒有太多痛苦,只是發生得太快,多希望還有些時間能和他相處,能再有機會表達更多愛。
