Beverly Walker

May 2, 1944 — March 1, 2025

Beverly Kay Walker - wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, sister-in-law and mother-in-law lost her battle with multiple sclerosis on March 1, 2025.

A proud fourth generation Texan, Beverly Kay Pfieffer was born in Waco on May 2, 1944, to Lawrence and Evelyn Pfieffer. “BK” as she was often referred to, was the oldest of four siblings with brothers Bruce, Brian and Brent. In her youth, she loved to visit her grandmother “Mama” in McGregor Texas - and enjoyed roller skating at the skating rink.

BK attended W.H. Adamson High School in Oak Cliff, where she was involved in several high school activities, including being a member of the Leopardettes, the renowned Adamson baton-twirling girls’ drill team.

In 1969, she married Joe Eldon Walker II and had two sons, Joe Eldon Walker III and Jim Allen Walker. The family traveled the world, visiting places that most people only dream of like Egypt, Singapore, Rome, Greece and Amsterdam. The Walker family spent four memorable years in Dubai and continued to tell stories of their adventures there for many years. Eventually, Joe and Beverly landed in Plano Texas where they lived for many years.

Beverly was a dog lover, particularly the golden retriever breed, and had several whose companionships she cherished throughout the years. She was also a genealogy buff who traced her family tree back over five generations.

Beverly is survived by her sons Joe and Jim Walker and his wife Kerry; granddaughter Madeline Walker; brothers Bruce Pfieffer and Brent Pfieffer and his wife Twila; nieces Jennifer Hooper and Lauren Pfieffer; sister-in-law Linda Beavers; nephews Kirk Beavers, Jay Beavers and his wife Laura; and many cousins from McGregor Texas including Skippy, Scotty, Brenda, Susan, Travis, Leanne and Rebecca. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Walker.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Allen Family Funeral Options.
