Patrick "Pat" Bailey

September 28, 1954 — March 2, 2025

Patrick Edward Bailey, age 70, left us Sunday, March 2, 2025, to go home to the Lord. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois on September 28, 1954, and moved to Texas in 1990.

He was a Christian and member of Reclamation Church in Plano. Pat had many jobs throughout his life and was a very hard worker. He worked as a carpenter and as a home inspector and also worked in Real Estate with his dad.  After moving to Texas, he worked for a software company, then as an Oil and Gas Landman.

Pat was known for his witty, dry sense of humor. He would have a joke for anyone he would meet. He loved spending time with his family and sitting at the dinner table laughing until he cried. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He enjoyed reading about history and watching history programs on TV. He liked to do research on his Irish ancestry. He also enjoyed going out to eat, going to the movies and he was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Pat loved visiting with family and friends!

Pat is survived by his wife Karen Bowers Bailey; son Jason Bailey and his wife Abril; daughter Jennifer Bailey Townsend and her husband Adam; grandchildren Dylan, Elena, James, Faith, Xander and Luka; and sister Cheryl Bailey Wellen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Wanda Bailey, his brother, Billy Michael Bailey, his son, Jared Lee Bailey and granddaughter Hope Mckenzie Townsend.

He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, brother, in-law and friend and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options.

If desired, contributions may be made in Pat’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at: https://donate.nationalmssociety.org/
