Wayne Warner Tucker

Wayne Warner Tucker was born in Dallas, Texas on October 17, 1947 to parents, Walter Marion and Mary Lavonia (Ingram) Tucker.

He attended school in Oak Cliff, graduating from Sunset High School.  Wayne joined the United States Army and did three tours of duty.  Upon his return, he enrolled at Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas. In 1972, Wayne married Karin Rosanne Lim.  He continued his education at Southern Methodist University where he received his degree.  He went on to work for many different outlets and banks.

In 1979, their daughter China-Nicole was born I Garland, Texas.  Within weeks, Wayne was transferred out of state. From Texas, the family transferred to Oklahoma for a short period of time.  Then, on to Colorado where the family grew to love living off the land and exploring the world.  In 1982, the family returned to Texas and bought a home in Plano.

Wayne worked throughout life, attending to China-Nicole’s school interests and other endeavors.  He became involved in many extracurricular activities: the Plano Symphony, the Plano Chamber of Commerce, the Plano Veterans Association, the American Legion and the Collin County Republican Party.  He was also part of the Central Market – Foodie and then ended up at Kroger.

He is survived by his wife, Karin; daughter, China-Nicole Tucker; son in law, Humberto Hipolito and two grandchildren, Albert-Max and Anita-Noel Hipolito.

There will be a Visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November, 4, 2020, at Allen Family Funeral Options.

Burial will be private at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery.  After the burial, there will be an Open House (COVID precautions will be observed) at the home of David and Anna Jane Hartman.
