June 10, 2002 — October 17, 2023

Michael Andrew Lucero, passed away after a valiant battle with mental illness on October 17, 2023, at the age of 21.  He is survived by those who loved him most, including his twin sister Kenzie, his sister Alex, his parents, Michael and Margo, grandmother, Kaye Velasquez, and extended family including many aunts, uncles and too many cousins to count.  He is predeceased by his grandparents Tom and Mary Lucero and Andrew Velasquez.

Those who knew Michael knew of his love and fascination with all things cars, and his desire to make a connection with people. Michael strived to do his best and often struggled, as we all do. An extravert at heart, he enjoyed spending time with his friends. Everyone who knew him encouraged him to follow his passion for cars, so he was studying at Collin County Community College for a career in auto mechanics. He will be missed and remembered for his kind heart and love he had for his family.

Michael’s life will be celebrated and remembered on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Allen Family Funeral Options.

A reception will follow at Michael’s home: 4537 Daffodil Trail, Plano, Texas 75093
