Mariana Carrasco Licon, 88, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away, Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in Plano, Texas. She was born on September, 27, 1931 in San Antonio, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a devout Catholic, hard-working, independent, creative and strong-willed woman who enjoyed crafts, such as sewing and knitting, playing bingo and board games with her grandchildren, singing along to classic mariachi music, and telling countless stories of her life growing up on the family’s ranch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Canuto Carrasco and Josefa Licon, a sister, Manuela Rodriguez Carrasco of Meoqui, Chihuahua, and a brother, Meliton Carrasco of Tulia, TX.
She is survived by her sisters Paula Acosta of Andrews, TX, Bertha Licon of Meoqui, Chihuahua, Olga Tercero of Ojinaga, Chihuahua and brother Macario Carrasco of Meoqui, Chihuahua, her two sons Lupe Carrasco and wife Mirella, Agustin Carrasco and wife Lynda, five grandchildren, Maleni and husband Angel, Michael and wife Kate, Ann Marie, Misty and BJ, 5 great-grandchildren, Marcos and wife Myriah, Eric, Maddie, Khloe, and Joaquin.
There will be an evening of remembrance visitation from 6-8 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Allen Family Funeral Options.
Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, July 3, 2020, at Wear Cemetery, 3737 E. 1 st St. Prosper, Texas 75078.
