Harry Bushnell George Iii

Harry B. George III, “Buzz,”88, died peacefully on November 2, 2022, in Plano, Texas. Harry was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents Harry Bushnell and Maybelle (Grohosky) George Jr.

He lived in Winnetka, Illinois through seventh grade and then moved to Scarsdale, New York where he graduated high school in 1952.

Harry attended Dartmouth College and graduated in 1956 with a degree in Economics. He received his MBA from the University of Dallas Texas.

He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy in Newport, Rhode Island for four months and then Norfolk, Virginia for the remainder of his active service.

Harry was an avid Chicago sports fan. He was a member of the Dallas Chapter of the Military Association of America.

Throughout his life he worked for IBM, Computer Sciences Corporation, Quanex Management Sciences Corporation, Accu-Sort Systems, Inc., Allen-Bradley, Humanic Systems, Inc., Bar/Code Inc., Rockwell and Danaher.

Harry is survived by his daughters, Halley Leffler and her husband Mike of Sandusky, Ohio and Lorie George and her husband Dave of Danbury Connecticut; grandchildren, Madison and Dyson Leffler of Sandusky, Ohio and nephew, David Baitinger and his wife Brenda of Coral Gables, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marylin Putnam George; parents, Harry and Maybelle George; sister, Jocelyn Baitinger; aunt, Myra Watson; and niece, Gail Baitinger.

Harry will be laid to rest with military honors at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
