Denny Thompson

Denny Thompson, 76, went home to Glory to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 19, 2024. His love for God, his deep love for Pam, his abiding love for family combined with his sweet, gentle spirit and infectious smile are all reasons he will be missed by so many.

Dennis Ralph Thompson married Pamela Ann Meyer on August 17, 1968, and began a lifetime journey of loving and nurturing his wife and family. Denny is survived by his wife Pam Thompson, brother Ken (Charon) Thompson, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 6 grandnephews and 1 grandniece and 8 great-grandnephews and nieces.

Denny grew up in Des Moines, Iowa where he met and married his high school sweetheart. He worked as an electrical engineer in telecommunications for over 25 years. They moved to Texas in 1978 and shortly thereafter attended and became members at Prestonwood Baptist Church. In all he did, Denny’s strong faith, quiet spirit and humble heart drew people to him. He could fix just about anything, and was in his element repairing, remodeling and making their home perfect for Pam.

Denny treasured time camping with Pam in their cozy tiny home or going to the beach. Everyone knew that wherever Pam was, that was his favorite place to be! The love they shared for over 56 years was obvious to all their friends and family. Those who knew him celebrate a life well-lived.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in Faith Chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Neal Jeffrey.
