She was born November 1, 1947 in Tubalan, Malita, Davao Del Sur, Philippines. At the age of 21, Alicia moved to the United States to pursue a career in nursing which brought her to New Jersey, New York, Michigan, and California before she moved to Plano, Texas in 1995.  On February 16, 1979, Alicia joined Jesus Manuel in holy matrimony.

Alicia is remembered by her family and friends for her kind and caring heart, generosity, and willingness to always help others. Alicia loved to travel, visiting many countries throughout her life. She enjoyed hosting parties and presenting her recipes for family and friends.

Alicia loved being a grandmother to Stella. She had a close relationship with God throughout her life and was a life-long member of The Catholic Church. After she retired from her career in nursing in 2012, she enjoyed spending time catching up with her sister, Natividad, going out to eat at different restaurants and watching TV shows together.
