Zaida Torres

It is with great sadness that the family of Zaida Torres announces her passing on November 24, 2021.

Zaida Ines Torres was born June 2, 1939, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to parents David and Josefina (Martell) Torres.

She was the loving wife of Rafael Muniz Acosta, and they were happily married for 44 years.

Zaida is survived by her four daughters, Belinda Borrero and her children Leonardo Espina Borrero and Fabiola Espina Borrero; daughter Giovanna Borrero Colberg and her husband Rafael Colberg and their children Rafael Dionis Colberg Borrero, Gabriella Colberg Borrero, Guiliana Colberg Borrero, Christopher James Colberg Borrero; daughter Suzette Borrero Violante and her husband Robert and their children Brandon Violante Borrero and Brianna Violante Borrero; daughter Marie Therese Muniz Sweeney and her twin children Lola Isabel and Sebastian Nunzio Sweeney Muniz.

The family will receive friends for an Afternoon of Remembrance Friday, December 3, 2021, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with Words of Remembrance spoken at 5:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options.

Zaida will be laid to rest in Puerto Rico with her husband.
