Bà Đoàn Thị Bạch Yến peacefully passed away at her home with her beloved eldest daughter at her side.

Being a devoted housewife at home, a successful merchant at times, she always had much respect from others.  She was a woman with wisdom, strength, compassion, and generosity.

Her life was totally dedicated for the family she loved, for the husband she wedded since her teens, and for the children she treasured the most. She was the kind of person who would be willing to suffer the whole hour to exchange for a brief minute of happiness for her husband or her children.  She would be willing to do anything for her offspring, including sacrificing her own life.  Being such a devout mother, she was always surrounded with love and care by her six children.

Nothing is greater than a mother’s love, and she had given it profusely to her youngsters all her life.

Năm bốn thu qua sống cạnh người

Biết bao ngọt đắng lẫn buồn vui

Thương anh từ thuở chưa mười sáu

Tóc bỏ ơ hờ mới chấm vai

Rồi bước song song suốt dặm đường

Ấp đầy tình nghĩa với yêu đương

Thương nhau cởi áo cho nhau ấm,

Bồng bế em qua mấy đoạn trường

Nhìn lại chặng đường mình đã đi

Bao nhiêu cách biệt, bao chia ly,

Em Nam, anh Bắc tình chia cách

Nhắc chuyện xưa nầy vẫn ướt mi.

Anh nhớ không anh, có những chiều,

Cùng em chung bước sánh vai yêu.

Tranh nhau kể chuyện vui ngày trước,

Hồ vắng chiều tà bóng ngã xiêu.

Bão tố phong ba đã hết rồi,

Trời êm bể lặng giúp thuyền trôi,

Em chèo, anh lái tìm về bến,

Vui sống bề nhau ở xứ người
