William (Will) Scott Lemke was born April 6, 1992, in Plano, Texas to parents Scott and Jan (Pederson) Lemke. He passed unexpectedly on March 23, 2022.
Will graduated from Plano East Senior High and received his associates degree from Collin College. He also attended Texas A&M at Commerce and Stephen Austin University in Nagadoches. He worked as a pharmacy technician in Plano and McKinney, and planned to attend dental technican school..
Will was an exuberant soul. He was funny and caring, with an infectious laugh. Will had many hobbies. He enjoyed video and board games with friends and family and was an avid collector of vintage games and consoles. He loved anime and manga, and went to many conventions, including Dallas Animefest. He loved Transformers – the movies, the figures, the books and the art. He built numerous figures from hobby kits and collected others as well. Will read many books; was working on learning Russian and Japanese languages, and hoped to visit Japan someday. He was adept with his hands, always working on a hobby. One of his favorites was his Lego city buildings collection. The last thing he built was the “Daily Planet” building from the Superman movies.
Will’s friends were many. As well as local friends, he had online friends throughout the country and the world. He spent much time sharing his life with them.
Above all, his best friends were his brothers John and Bobby. Through the years, they played together, laughed, fought, shared jokes, played many, many video games, and had a great closeness.
Will had a fondness for animals, and had a soft heart for our rescue cats we accumulated over the years. He knew that anyone he found would become part of our home.
Will is survived by his parents; brothers John and Robert (Bobby) Lemke; uncles Paul Pederson of Tucson, Arizona, Carl Pederson of Ames, Iowa and David Pederson of Kerrville, Texas; several cousins and many loving friends.
There will be a celebration of Will’s life on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options with Robert Matthews officiating.
