Weston Connor Sorrels

July 13, 1995 — November 3, 2025

Lucas, Texas

On November 3, 2025, Weston Connor Sorrels passed away while receiving care in Dallas. He was 30 years old.

Weston was born in Oklahoma City in 1995, and his life was filled with love and joy. At this time, his family lived in South Korea and Weston’s earliest years were spent traveling the Pacific Rim. Growing up back in Texas, he enjoyed playing soccer and was not afraid to try several other sports including basketball, karate, and BMX, and later disc golf and off-roading. Weston’s curiosity was boundless, and his earliest passions were in art through sketching and sculpting.

Weston also showed an intimate passion for the outdoors. Weston was an active member of the Boy Scouts when he was not hanging out with his friends. Weston was movingly connected to outdoor activities and went on to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout in 2009, at the age of 14, while being inducted as a Member of the Order of the Arrow (Scouting’s Honor Society). He closed out his Scouting career by mentoring younger Scouts in high school. His high school friends continue to be a cherished part of his life. After graduation, Weston explored life’s many options while working and spending time with his friends. He approached life with a quiet intelligence and a tenacious attitude with a highly focused work ethic. These were some of his finest qualities. Weston was a loving and compassionate man who loved all animals and wildlife. He was currently completing his Commercial Driver’s License.

Weston loved video games and all types of music. He enjoyed going to concerts and live music events. Weston was also a great cook with his own creative style, especially sauce combinations. He was often referred to as the ‘Sause Boss’ with his unique recipes. He loved his brothers deeply; learning, growing and connecting to each other. He enjoyed seeing the country and camping at multiple National Parks, and his trips to the family cabin in New Mexico with his close friends and brothers were an annual epic trek.

Weston is survived by his parents Ben and Debbie; brother Evan; grandmother Lavon, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather’s Earl and Bill and his grandmother Kay, and his beloved brother Dawson.

A memorial service to celebrate Weston’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2025, at First United Methodist Church of Allen, Texas.
