Vileso Ellorin Salvador of Plano, Texas joined our creator on March 2, 2023, with his loved ones by his side. He was born in Manila, Philippines on October 19, 1933, to Victorino Salvador and Maria Ellorin, the oldest of 13 children.
Vileso started working at the age of 15 at a Chinese “tin” factory then pursued his career as an auditor at the SINGER Sewing Machine company back in the Philippines while completing his college degree at night. His dream was to become a physician but was not fulfilled due to inadvertent reasons. Being the eldest child/son of the family, he knew he had to support his siblings and himself. He worked 3 jobs and finally earned his degree at the University of the East, College of Commerce major in accounting. In 1980, he moved to Spain, worked for his brother-in-law and his wife, Atty Pitt (Atty Maria Datu) Vazquez who was a commercial attaché at the Philippine Embassy in Madrid, Spain as his assistant. A few months after, he ventured to New York with his sister, Dr. Violeta Salvador Torio and his nieces, Michelle Torio, and Marylin Torio, was welcomed and graciously offered their abode. In New York he worked as an accountant at a business firm owned by a Jewish businessman. After a few years, his wife, Elena Datu Salvador united with him and moved to Groton, Connecticut to be near his brother-in-law and his wife Dr. Jesus Angeles (Joan Agagon) Datu and his 2 nieces Dr. Joy Datu-Beaudoin (Kevin) and Dr. Mina Datu (Nick) Boutselis. There he worked as an operating room technician at Lawrence Memorial Hospital – the closest point he could be to pursuing his passion in medicine. At age 74, he decided to retire and moved to Plano, Texas, together with his wife so they could be close to their 4 children.
He was a spiritual man, compassionate, humble, a dedicated husband, and a good provider. He built his entire life making sure his family was where it should be. A decent man ever loyal to his vows and strong faith in the Lord.
Vileso had left us with his adoring music. He played the piano with authentic eloquence. The keys may be black and white, but with his intrinsic talent, he decorated our lives with the radiant colors of his piano music.
He will be terribly missed, and we will be forever grateful for his selfless LOVE .
Vileso is survived by his 4 children Joselito Datu Salvador, Janette “Jette” Datu Salvador (Cheryl Bunales), Jasmine Salvador (June) Matawaran, Jerome Datu Salvador (Wendy Ilano Salvador), his grandchildren Jean Matawaran (Victor) Huang, Joseph Salvador Matawaran, Jared Ilano Salvador and Arabella Ilano Salvador, all from Texas, USA; sisters Corazon Salvador Singian of Philippines, Victorina Ellorin Salvador of Philippines, and Dr. Violeta Salvador Torio of New York.
