Uloma Cynthia Egesi was born January 8, 1975, at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria as the second daughter and third child out of six children of parents Sir Ndukwe Otumadudi Egesi and Lady Ugonma Catherine Egesi of Umukabia Umuagbom, Ohuhu in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State, Nigeria.
Uloma was a highly intelligent and brilliant student. She attended Library Avenue Primary School in Umuahia, Abia state, Nigeria. For secondary school education she attended Federal Government Girls College Owerri and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Abia State University, Nigeria. She obtained her Master of Science in Business Administration from Strayer University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Uloma’s banking career started from one of the leading banks in Africa, First Atlantic Bank, where she worked as a Bank Manager in Abuja, Nigeria. She relocated to the United States of America in the year 2003 where she lived in North Carolina with her daughter, Divine Livingstone, for about a year. The following year they moved to Georgia and lived in a city called Austell for about 13-14 years, where she made wonderful friends who she considered family.
Uloma began work at Walmart in Georgia, and not too soon after in 2006 began working at Bank of America as a Teller in Greenbriar. She received a job offer in the backend line of business at the Bank of America Kennesaw branch, here she received 1-2 promotions working in the fraud line of business. In 2016 she relocated to Dallas, Texas, and stayed with Bank of America. Uloma had received 4-5 promotions in her time in Dallas, back-to-back! She ended her career on the Enterprise Fraud Management team as the Assistant Vice President with a Project Management certification.
Uloma was a very kindhearted, loving, cheerful and humble person who always went out of
her way to help people. She was a blessing everywhere she went. Her words brought wisdom, and light to a situation. Her ears and heart were always open, that is why people found it so easy to either relate with her, or just felt comfortable to talk about their feelings and or problems. She was definitely one to hold you accountable in whatever actions you took, but she would never judge you. Above all she was a diligent worker, who loved God so much and loved to sing His praises, because of her dedication to the Lord she excelled in everything she put her mind to. Her love for her family both nuclear and extended was unwavering, she always had your back.
Uloma Cynthia Egesi is survived by her daughter Divine, mother Ugonma and five siblings, cousins, in-laws, friends, colleagues and numerous additional relatives.
There will be a funeral service to celebrate Uloma’s life Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options, officiated by Pastor John Orhion. She will be laid to rest at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas immediately following the service.
