Tina Zayhowski (Manalio), 83, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in Plano, Texas. She was born in New York City on October 23, 1940 to Doris and John Hoh. Tina graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 1962 and taught math at schools in Angola, Indiana and then Buffalo, New York. After receiving her master’s degree, Tina worked as a guidance counselor at Kenmore East High School and later accepted assistant principal positions at West High School in Corning, New York and Colonie Central High School in Albany, New York. She and her husband John were married 20 years and enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S., Europe and Mexico. They settled in Oro Valley, Arizona where Tina enjoyed the sunshine, hiking with friends and being a part of the AAUW and CASA programs. In 2017, Tina moved to Plano Texas to be closer to family and enjoyed being a part of her grandsons’ lives. Her husband John Zayhowski predeceased Tina. Tina is survived by her daughter Nancy Barbera, son- in- law James Barbera and grandsons Andrew and Alex Barbera.
