Timothy Kyle Surovik, (“Timbo Jahoolie”, “Timbo Slice”, “T”, and “Surovik”) if you met him, you’d never forget him! He lit up the room with his charisma, huge smile, kind and caring heart, and competitive spirit. You could feel the energy and the unconditional love he always had for his family and friends.
Timothy accepted the Lord into his heart when he was seven and was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He grew up in a strong Christian home with the significant influence and prayers from his Granny, Sandra. His love for music was inspired by Grandpa Don who taught Timothy how to play the guitar and supported him in all of his sporting activities. We all know he loved Ice Hockey and Lacrosse and made a significant close relationship with his best friend, Taylor Pamplin. Those two were truly brothers with mothers from another mother. The irony is, we are both named Robin and referred to as Mom #1 and Mom #2.
Timothy loved hunting, fishing, skateboarding, and just good old shenanigans. As we all know, Timothy is just like watching a live comedy show filling the room with joy, laughter, and the biggest smiles to each and every one of our faces. He was always the one to come in and help the underdog as well. Timothy has the gift of athleticism, the heart of gold, and always seeking more for others, than himself.
Timothy’s love for the outdoors was inspired by his grandfather, Captain Joe. He learned his expertise to hunt throughout Texas and Colorado and fish in Port O’Conner. He supported Capt. Joe out on the boat deck-handing and catching redfish, red snapper, and anything that would bite. He and Capt. Joe didn’t go fishing, they went catching on the Coastal Safaris. He always wanted to go back and resume living on the coast, but his children were here.
His love of ice hockey and talent in this area was amazing. Quite the competitor and always seeking to improve his game. Many hours of dedication and training, physically pushing himself to improve. He was an inspiration on and off the ice and was truly blessed to have had these opportunities.
Timothy always told his mom that, “I will always be your #1 True Son” regardless of how challenging his situations were. She will always remember him telling her, “Keep your head up”, “stay strong” and “Come on Mom… dry it up.” He believed in her and was always a source of encouragement regardless of how difficult the situation was. They were both taught, “Remember what your last name is”! The Surovik’s have a unique way of finding each other if not in sight, originated while hunting, but carried over to any and all situations. Our call was, “BEWEWOOP” from his Uncle Michael. Now we know Tim is home, BEWEWOOP!
Timothy’s little sister, Taryn always challenged him competitively. They were always seeing who could jump the highest on the trampoline, run the fastest, and could withstand the highest number of hits from hockey pucks in the garage as he was a Triple A ice hockey player. Tim taught her how to do donuts in the car at the age of ten years old… well of course, we always knew Timothy lived his life to the fullest. One of his favorite sayings is “Ride Fast, Don’t Die”. His love for motorcycles was significant in that, he felt FREE. He loved riding and if given the chance, would go every time.
He was an amazing individual and has now gone on to fulfill the mission the Lord has for him. It won’t be easy without him. His greatest joy was being a father. He loved his beautiful children, son, Noah, daughters Samantha and Scarlett, with an indescribable love. His legacy will live on through them.
We love you Timothy and to say you will be missed is an understatement.
You will always be my #1 True Son.
He was about that life.
Vena, vidi, vici, I came, I saw, I conquered.
It’s all gravy baby.
Ride fast, don’t die.
Can’t wait until we meet again.
