Thomas William Rufi

Thomas William Rufi Jr., lovingly known as "Tom," passed away on November 17, 2024, in Collin County, Texas, at the age of 47. Born on July 30, 1977, in Sumter, South Carolina, Tom brought warmth, humor, and dedication to all who knew him.

From the age of 16, Tom dedicated himself to a career in retail, demonstrating steadfast commitment and hard work throughout his life. Outside of his work, he cherished his family and friends, building relationships that will leave a lasting impact.

Tom’s kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Tom was the cherished son of Tom and Alyce Rufi. He is survived by his devoted girlfriend, Samantha Hander, and his siblings: Heather, Tina, Keri, Rachel, Dale Massey, and Dave Massey. He was predeceased by his sister, Heidi, who remains in the hearts of her loved ones. Tom was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews, whom he adored and whose lives he deeply touched.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6800 Anderson Dr., The Colony. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. to honor and celebrate Tom’s life.

The pallbearers for Tom's service will be Oscar Van Winkle, Samuel Van Winkle, Eddy Grice, Cody Thomas, Brent Douglas, and Stephen Bogers. He will be laid to rest at Little Elm Cemetery.
