Terrisa Anne (Wells) Quinn, died Tuesday morning, August 31, 2021, after having suffered a massive heart attack.
Terrisa was born May 15,1960 in Omaha Nebraska, the daughter of Richard and Dolores Wells and sister to Cindy, Richard and Thomas. In 1967 the family moved to Dallas.
Terrisa graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson Texas, received her undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Texas-Dallas. While attending UTD, Terrisa started work at Medical City Dallas in the finance department. For the duration of her career she worked in finance and spent her last 20 years working in accounting at The Integer Group. Terrisa was known to do so with excellence, but her true passion was letting those she came in contact with know that they mattered and that they were loved. In 1989 Terrisa met her husband Ken Quinn while working together with a Junior High youth group, and in December of 1990 they were married in Plano Texas . Terrisa earned her Masters degree in counseling in 1993 from Colorado Christian University in Denver, Colorado. Their only child and joy of Terrisa's heart, Orien, was born in Dallas in 2002.
Listen to the words of some who knew her well;
Sister: ”…My sister, my friend, my confidante, my sharer of secrets, hopes and dreams. Lover of God, lover of life, lover of people, lover of flowers and walks, sunrises and sunsets, books and music, birds and bunnies and butterflies. Her beauty inside and out will never be forgotten.”
Her co-workers of over 20 years at The Integer Group: “almost always the first to congratulate an employee on a promotion or [to] welcome a new employee…even on her worst days, her demeanor radiated warmth and care…unbelievably committed to working hard, helping where she could, and caring for others.”
Orien: “Any time when we would argue, if mom was mean she would always come and apologize. She would own what she did.”
…and Ken, when asked by an ICU nurse to tell her about Terrisa, said, “…she made me want to be a better man.” (As Good As It Gets)
Anyone who knew Terrisa felt loved and was better for it.
Terrisa is survived by Ken, husband of 31 years; son Orien; mother Dolores Wells; sister Cindy Threet and her husband David, brothers Richard Wells, Tom Wells and his wife Mitzi; 8 nieces and 7 nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Wells.
