Terri Ann Bishop Alexander

January 25, 1964 — December 5, 2024

Forever chasing laughter, happiness, or something pink, our mom lived a life of grace and color. Terri Ann Alexander, 60, of Plano, Texas, died on December 5, 2024. She was born in Catoosa, Oklahoma in 1964 to Terry and Pat Bishop, along with two older brothers Kelly and Claude.

Terri met the love of her life, Fred, in 2019 while shopping online. They spent entirely too long chatting over the phone.  By the time they met for the first time for a coff-a-cuppy at Mud Leaf; it was love at first sight.   They had been made for each other.  Terri’s favorite thing to say was “I ordered him online.”.

Terri was each of her children’s best friend in their own unique way. She knew how to spread her wisdom and love into each of us to encourage our growth into who we needed to be. Her children, and later her grandchildren, were her life, managing to provide for their physical and emotional needs.  Raising caring and responsible adults who continue to admire their mother … and she them.   Her strength, character, and loyalty was unmatched.

Though she loved her career and being a wife, Terri’s favorite role was that of Nina. She treasured her time with her grandkids and loved being Nina, never failing to say something inappropriate and get in trouble with her daughters or make up a song about how much she loved each grandchild. She made a conscious effort to build a solid relationship with them, one that would last a lifetime. Her favorite words on the phone nearly every night from her grandkids were “Goodnight Nina, I love you!”

Terri spent most of her career as a medical practice manager; mentoring employees that turned into friends, and doing what she could to stress out the physicians. Terri took pride in fostering a friendly work environment while providing excellent patient care.

Terri had an infectious joy and sense of humor. She loved to smile, talk to anyone, crack quirky jokes, and make up new words to old tunes (something she shared with Fred).

She loved talking to her family on the phone, cracking jokes, music (especially country, country gospel, and old pop), crime stories, meeting people, and of course getting flowers.

Terri will always be remembered for her kindness, quick wit, sparkly personality, perpetual smile, and the way that she always had something encouraging and positive to compliment you. We’ll always imagine hearing her say “I need a coff-a-cuppy” and “I love you” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better Mom, Nina, or Wife and we will miss her every single day.

Terri was preceded in death by her mother, father, and two brothers, and is survived by her husband Fred, her children Desi, Lindsey, and Travis: their spouses David, Matt, and Ashley, and her niece Chelsea. Not to mention her beloved grandchildren Lillian, Tristan, Kaydence, Eli, Emery, Ethan, Travis Jr, Everly Joy.

Terri’s celebration of life is Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with light refreshments immediately after at Allen Family Funeral Options. To view service via webcast: https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/107383

Terri LOVED the color pink – if you have something comfortable and pink, please consider wearing it.

Second to pink was her love of flowers, pink of course.
