Terence Joseph Walton, age 89, of Dallas, Texas, passed into eternal life in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 6, 2025, after a long and hard-fought battle with congestive heart failure.
Mr. Walton was born on July 19, 1936, in Washington, D.C., to the late Cecilia Lanigan Walton Zettle. He grew up in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, and attended St. Leo Elementary and High Schools, graduating in 1954. In 1959, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and served until his honorable discharge in 1962. Following his military service, he attended Gannon College in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 1966 with a degree in accounting.
Shortly thereafter, Terry was introduced to Margaret Louise Munter by mutual friends, and the pair wed on April 19, 1969. They were happily married for more than 56 years.
His professional career began in Akron, Ohio at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. Over the ensuing years, his work took him and his family on several moves across the country. In 1991, while working at Occidental Petroleum, he relocated his family from Pottstown, Pennsylvania to Plano, Texas, where he continued to work as Director of Credit until his retirement in the late 1990s. His retired years were spent in the company of family and friends, taking family trips to the beach, mountains, and National Parks, reading history, listening to music, and participating in bowling leagues at the Plano Super Bowl.
