Taylor Petersen

March 29, 1991 — December 19, 2017

Taylors life started March 29, 1991 at Medical city in Dallas and grew up in The Colony. She attended grade school and first two years of high school there. Taylor was in the choir in elementary school and a cheer leader in middle school. She completed high school in Plano at Plano East. After high school there were odd jobs and lots of friends.

She had some troubled years as a young adult but as her kids started to arrive she worked hard to become a responsible adult. She welcomed her first child June 15th, 2014, daughter Delilah Lily Petersen. A year and half later she welcomed son Archer Maddox Laughridge Dec 23rd, 2015. Not long after Archer came along Dax Areo Petersen was born June 13, 2017. Taylor loved her kids with all her heart and would do anything for them.

Anyone that knew Taylor knew she marched to a different drummer. Normal was not her thing. Her hair color changed often if not daily. The brighter the better for Taylor. Tattoos were also a Taylor thing which she had approximately 30 different ones and assorted piercings were also the norm.

Taylor had finally found a job that she loved at Vape Wild in Carrollton. It was a second family to her. She worked hard, she worked her days off, over time whatever needed to be done. She quickly moved up and was promoted to lead where again she seemed to excel. She was loved by everyone that she met. Her free spirit and big heart was who she was, very giving to anyone that was in need. She would light up the room when she entered. She was silly, spontaneous and had an infectious personality. Taylor also loved to cook; enchiladas and tortilla soup were among her many favorites.

After her departure we are learning so many things that made Taylor. She randomly gave people at work candy or gifts. She dropped what she was doing to give one of her Vape Wild family members a hug every day. She gave someone in need a phone because theirs was broken. Endless acts of kindness and caring was what we are calling Taylorism’s!

As always, in the end, we have learned who the real person was in Taylor. She was always daddy’s little girl and will be missed greatly but never forgotten. There will be a hole in a lot of people’s lives but not in their hearts if she touched it. Rest in Peace Leigh Taylor Petersen I hope the demons you battled are finally silenced.

Taylor is survived by her 3 children Delilah, Archer and Dax, dad and stepmom Glenn and Melinda Petersen, mom and stepdad Edith and Michael Morris, brothers Paul Petersen and Austin and Lonnie Gross, paternal grandmother Olive Guschke. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Hartman Petersen, maternal grandparents William and Clare Conner.

An Evening of Remembrance will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 from 6-8:00 P.M. with Words of Remembrance spoken at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Robert Matthews officiating.
