Tamera “Tami” Kay (Scherm) Danielak, 65, ended her battle with cancer and went to the arms of her Lord on August 16, 2024.
Tami was born in Stuttgart, Arkansas on March 4, 1959. She lived her entire adult life in Texas, starting in Carrollton and ending in Plano.
Tami was a graduate of Carlisle High School and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. It was at the University that she met her great love, Ron. They were married in August 1985 and spent 41 wonderful years together. They did volunteer work for their church, traveled the world together and cultivated many lifelong friends who were more like family together.
Tami started her giving as a youth minster at St Thomas Aquinas in Fayetteville. She had a strong connection to St. Scholastica Convent in Ft. Smith, AR and served on their board as well. Tami worked as a travel agent and retired early, which allowed her to become involved in organizations close to her heart. She was a member of P.E.O. and served as President and other roles. She also was a member of her church choir and served on the Parish Council. She was instrumental in starting the organization Women of St. Mark’s.
Tami had great love for her Lord, her husband, her family, her friends and her dogs. She also loved reading books, traveling, shopping, tea parties and watching Marvel movies. She loved any celebration and always knew how to make any gathering special.
Ron and the rest of Tami’s family want to thank Kindful Health Hospice, Nurses, caregivers and Doctors for the excellent care that they provided during this most difficult journey with Tami.
And we cannot adequately express our gratitude for the incredible love and generosity given to us by Tami’s special friends! Tami received cards and visits from so many of you. There was hardly room in the kitchen for the wonderful food you shared with us. Your thoughtfulness and shared faith in the Lord made this journey a little easier.
Tami is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Danielak, her mother, Sandra Scherm and her sister, Amy Berg (Joe). She is also survived by extended family and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Scherm.
