Susan Crystal Virdin

April 5, 1966 — February 6, 2023

Susan Crystal Virdin was born on April 5th, 1966 in Houston, Texas to Paul & Virginia Virdin, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 6 th , 2023 in Dallas, Texas.  She knew Jesus as her Savior and Lord and is with Him now.  She wanted everyone to share fun memories, celebrate her life, and not mourn her passing.

She was funny, sassy, and always had a gleam in her eye.  She was joyful, fun-loving, and kept a positive attitude regardless of circumstances.  She loved her family and was a good friend to many, always checking on people and helping out where she could.  She was kind with an encouraging word or listening ear.  She loved to share food, cards, memes, or gifts to express her love for and appreciation of others.  She was the first one to text you Happy Birthday (and usually way too early)!

She had administrative skills and was savvy with technology, which allowed her to excel in her career at JC Penney Insurance and the American Heart Association.  She loved her teams – the Stars and the Cowboys.  A faithful fan, she never missed a game, whether in person or on TV.  She loved dogs…especially Twaddles and Rex!

Most of all she loved her son, Cameron.  He was the apple of her eye.   She was so proud of the man he is today and cherished every opportunity to visit him in Florida.

Susan is survived by Cameron, sisters Cynthia Young, Maclyn Sartor (Wayne), Bill Virdin (Lynn), four nephews (Robert, Michael, Dustin, and Kyle), one niece (Traci), other family, and countless friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm CST, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Allen Family Funeral Options. The family will be available for visitation afterwards.  The service will also be live-streamed: http://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/84693

The family requests that attire be "dress casual". Dallas Stars or Dallas Cowboys attire would be appropriate to honor Susan's favorite teams.

Susan will be laid to rest at Malakoff Cemetery, Malakoff, Texas.

If desired, contributions may be made in Susan’s name to City on a Hill Church in St. Petersburg, which was very important to her. www.cityonahillchurch.tv
