Susan Elizabeth Caldwell

Susan Elizabeth Allen Caldwell was born July 6,1950 in Greenfield, Massachusetts to parents Francis and Elizabeth (Hoyt) Allen.  She left us to be with her Lord and Savior on May 14th, 2018. For all that knew Susie, knew her as a woman strong in her faith. She was compassionate and merciful, always putting the needs of others ahead of herself. Susie brought joy to anyone she encountered throughout her life and had a deep love for her family and friends.

Susie had a passion for cooking and enjoyed feeding others because it brought her so much happiness. Her broccoli cheese casserole was always in high demand during the holidays. She was an avid traveler, whose adventures took her to some of the most beautiful places in the world, but Lake Tahoe held a special place in her heart. Music was an integral part of Susie’s life. Her tastes were diverse and she loved to sing along to the likes of Sarah Hickman, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Elton John and Arlo Guthrie to name just a few.

Above all else, Susie was a loving wife, nurturing mother, loyal sister, devoted daughter and fun-loving grandmother who exemplified how to care for others through her daily actions. Her pure, selfless heart was admired by all, created lasting friendships with so many and will be missed forever.

Susie is survived by her loving husband Don Valentine, son Loren Caldwell, daughter Ivy Greaux and her husband Phillip, granddaughter Brooklyn Mayben, mother Betty Allen, sisters Diane Rojas and her husband David, Barbara Allen and Judy Bass and her husband John; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father Francis Allen.

There will be a memorial service to honor and celebrate Susie's life on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Stone Crest Venue, 160 Rockcrest Road, Mc Kinney, Texas  75071 with Pastor Ben DeBusk officiating.  There will be a reception immediately following the service.
