Sue Ellen Higginbotham was born August 12, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas to parents Harold and Lucille (Sagebill) Goerges. She passed away December 29, 2021, at her home in Sachse, Texas.
Sue was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in 1968 and UTSA in 1979; she retired as a teacher.
Sue will be remembered as one of the sweetest people that walked the earth, a devoted wife and friend to her husband and the Greatest of all time mother and grandmother.
Sue is survived by her husband of 52 years, the Rev. Dr. Donald H Higginbotham; daughter Donna Sue Flores and her husband Alex, son Blakely John Higginbotham and his wife Jenna, son the Rev. Dr. Mathew St. John and his wife Dr. Julie St. John; grandchildren Brady, Chris and his wife Sydney, Kyle, Josiah, Joah, Malachi, Thad, Mathias and Jubilee St. John, Zachary and Anthony Flores; great grandson Hayes St. John; sister RoseAnn Worden and her husband Bruce and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. And a host of friends from the churches and communities of San Antonio, Pleasanton, Harlingen, Fredericksburg and The Woodlands where she served as a mom, minister’s wife, beloved Bible Study and Vacation Bible School teacher and a friend to all. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Lisa (Higginbotham) St. John; siblings Zane Naukem and Greg Goerges.
No funeral services are planned at this time, but a celebration of Sue’s life will take place at a later date.
