Stephen Jeffrey Foster

August 14, 1951 — August 18, 2018

Stephen Jeffrey Foster was born August 14, 1951, in Dennison, Ohio to Charles and Easter (Myers) Foster. Steve lived a full life and called “home” many places across the country: Upper Arlington, Ohio, Kansas City, Kansas and Canton, Connecticut to name a few. Ultimately, he settled in Plano, Texas, a city and state he loved and lived in for twenty years.

Steve was a man of the water. He loved to swim, scuba dive, snorkel, and most of all, he loved to sail his boat, “The Last Mango”. A lover of music, anyone who knew Steve knew that he loved to sing and play his guitar. Jimmy Buffett, Crosby Stills and Nash, Eagles, and Dan Fogelberg were a few of his favorite acts. He enjoyed cheese burgers on the grill for dinner, ice cold beer, and the occasional cigar. Steve truly loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He was an avid sports fan and cheered for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Kansas City Chiefs, college and professional football teams. Steve was a successful businessman who worked in sales for the majority of his adult life. From Scott Paper to Time Warner Cable, he excelled at what he did and loved it. We will remember Steve how he lived, a fun loving, passionate, mustachioed man with a great spirit and a big heart. He left this world too soon, but the impact he left will never fade.

Stephen Jeffrey Foster passed away in Plano, Texas on August 18, 2018, at the age of 67 after battling cancer. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Stephen is survived by his children, son, Benjamin Charles Foster; daughter, Hannah Kate Foster; son, Matthew Dodge Foster; and cousin, Jean Ray of Weirton, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Easter and Charles Foster. Lastly, he leaves behind his beloved dogs, Max and Vinnie.
