Allen, Texas

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sonia Sendejo, 53, of Allen, Texas, who entered eternal rest on October 3, 2026.

Sonia was born on September 29, 1973, in Alice, Texas, to Maria Elena Sendejo and Luis Rodolfo Sendejo. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose life was marked by kindness, love, and an unforgettable spirit.

Sonia was a woman with a heart of gold and a strong personality. She had a special way of making the people she met feel cared for, valued, and loved. No matter who crossed her path, she made sure they knew they mattered. Her kindness was genuine, her love was generous, and her presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Sonia had a special way of making everyone around her feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

Sonia’s life took her on many adventures, including time in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She loved to explore, travel, and experience all that life had to offer. Wherever her journey led, she created cherished memories, built meaningful connections, and left a piece of her heart behind. She eventually settled in Allen, Texas, where she made her home and continued to share her warmth and love with those around her.

Sonia was also a hardworking and dedicated woman who took great pride in her work. She devoted herself to providing for her family and building a life for those she loved. She worked for Target for over nine years and worked for Prestige Home Health. Her strong work ethic, determination, and commitment reflected the strength and perseverance she carried throughout her life.

Those She Leaves Behind

Sonia’s greatest love was her family. She is survived by her three children, Hannah Elizabeth Clark, Manuel Ordonez, and Gilberto Ordonez, Jr., who will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts. She is also survived by her father, Luis R. Sendejo (Monica); her two sisters, Melissa Sendejo and Vickie Amador (Arnold); and her two brothers, Luis Sendejo, Jr., and Isaac Sendejo. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many dear friends whose lives she touched.

Sonia leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her love, her strength, her unforgettable personality, and the countless memories they shared with her. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, the bond she shared with her family will never be broken. Her love will continue to live on through her children and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Those Waiting to Welcome Her Home

As Sonia entered eternal rest, she was lovingly reunited in Heaven with those who went before her and whom she carried in her heart. She joins her beloved son, Adrian Ordonez; her mother, Maria Elena Sendejo; her grandmothers, Eliza V. Perez and Lucinda R. Sendejo; her grandfathers, Pedro Perez and Pedro “Pete” Sendejo; and her brother, Matthew Sendejo.

She was also reunited with her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and other cherished family members who preceded her in death and whose memories remained forever close to her heart. Though their absence brought sorrow throughout her life, the thought of their heavenly reunion brings comfort to those who love her. We find peace in imagining Sonia embraced once again by the family she missed so dearly, surrounded by their love in the presence of the Lord.

May this beautiful reunion bring comfort to all who mourn her, and may the love that connects them continue to shine in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Forever in Our Hearts

Sonia leaves behind a remarkable legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love. Her life was a testament to the importance of family, the beauty of human connection, and the difference one person can make simply by showing others that they matter.

Though her time on earth has come to an end, the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she shared will never be forgotten. Her strong spirit, compassionate heart, and beautiful way of making others feel cared for will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, family, and friends.

Sonia will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered. While saying goodbye is never easy, those who loved her can find comfort in knowing that her love will remain with them always and that one day, they may be reunited again.

May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved mother, son, brother, grandparents, and cherished family members, embraced by the everlasting love of the Lord.
