Somchai Larksukthom

Somchai Larksukthom, born on January 20, 1960, in Bangkok, Thailand, peacefully passed away on April 15, 2024, in Allen, Texas, after bravely battling Stage IV cancer for 22 months. He was a devoted husband and proud father.

In the 1980s, Somchai embarked on his adventure, journeying from Thailand to the United States, initially landing in Boston. He later settled in Los Angeles, where fate brought him together with his future wife, Anchalee, who coincidentally attended the high school adjacent to his college. Their bond strengthened over time, becoming inseparable since the day he surprised her with lunch at her school. They eventually relocated to Georgia, where they raised their three daughters. In 2014, they made Texas their home.

Somchai and his wife shared 39 years of marriage filled with love and companionship. He had a passion for collecting movies, playing ping pong, exploring Costco, and embarking on long drives.

Somchai is survived by his father, Sompong Larksukthom, his wife, Anchalee Larksukthom,  daughters Panee Larksukthom Popov, Nancy Larksukthom Le, Natalie Larksukthom, siblings Waliphan Viriyamontree, Kitipong Larksukthom, Lisa Sweeney, grandchildren Sage Adalie Le and Maxton Theodore Popov, Son-in-Law Michael Le; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a service following at 11:00 am on Saturday April 20, 2024 at Allen Family Funeral Options. A reception will follow immediately after.
