Snow Dang

October 3, 1932 — March 14, 2026

Fairview, Texas

Đặng Thị Bích Thuận, lovingly known throughout her life as Đặng Thị Bạch Tuyết, Đặng Thị Tuyết, and later as Snow, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at the age of 93.

She was born on October 3, 1932, in Vietnam, one of nine children born to her father, Đặng Hùng Vỵ, and her mother, Nguyễn Thị Phúc. Her early life was marked by resilience and courage. Following the division of North and South Vietnam in 1954, she made the difficult journey south to seek safety and a better future. There, she began a new chapter in her life, adopting the name Đặng Thị Bạch Tuyết.

In South Vietnam, she married her beloved husband, Thu Văn Đặng, and became known as Đặng Thị Tuyết. In 1975, after escaping communist rule, she and her family immigrated to Anchorage, Alaska, in search of freedom and opportunity. It was in the United States that she chose the name Snow, the English translation of “Tuyết,” symbolizing purity, strength, and new beginnings.

Together with her husband, Snow worked tirelessly to build a life for their family of seven. After the tragic loss of her husband in a boating accident on May 12, 1980, she showed extraordinary strength and determination. She began working at British Petroleum (BP) in the mailroom, and through perseverance and dedication, she moved up to the accounting department while learning English as her second language.

Snow embraced her new life in Alaska with remarkable enthusiasm. She quickly developed a love for the outdoors and became an avid salmon fisherwoman, spending long summer days enjoying Alaska’s natural beauty. She was dedicated to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, with hobbies that included exercising and preparing nutritious meals. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and selflessly.

Snow, a woman of deep faith and a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ, was baptized in 1998. Her faith guided her life and provided her with strength, peace, and hope through every season.

She is survived by her loving children: Kim Dang, Linn Dang, Tung Dang, Betty Dang, and Cherry Sanders.

She is also survived by her beloved sons-in-law and daughters-in-law: Kim Lien Dang, Jennifer Dang, Pam Dang, Dzung Tran, and Keith Sanders.

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren and their spouses: Catherine Tang and Davis Tang; Brandon Tran and Cindy Tran; Karissa Lott and Marques Lott; Crystal Nava and Andrew Nava; Audrey Dang; Melinda Dang; Zechariah Dang; and Zina Dang.

Her legacy lives on through her great-grandchildren: Thomas Lott, Isaiah Lott, Nasir Lott, Matthew Nava, and Madison Nava.

She is also survived by her sister, Đặng Thị Đông Thìn, along with many loved nieces and nephews.

Snow was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thu Văn Đặng, in 1980, along with her parents and several siblings.

Snow will be remembered for her unwavering strength, resilience in the face of hardship, and her deep and abiding love for her family. Her life stands as a testament to courage, perseverance, and devotion. Her faith in Jesus Christ assures us that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and reunited with those who have gone before her.
