Sherry Lynne Fuqua

Sherry Lynne Fuqua, 63, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026.

Sherry was born on August 8, 1963, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Robert “Bob” Haver and Glennis Kaydene Higginbotham. She was raised in Calhan, Colorado, where she attended the local schools. Following high school, Sherry attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where she earned a degree in Business from 1981 to 1985.

After graduating from Colorado State University, Sherry began her career in banking with JPMorgan Chase. Over the course of an accomplished 38-year career, she dedicated herself to her work and to the many colleagues and friends she made along the way.

Outside of her career, Sherry found her greatest joy in the people and things she loved. She and her husband, Jon, shared a love of travel and created many cherished memories together throughout their 38 years of marriage. Sherry treasured time spent with family and friends and was an avid reader. She was also a proud and devoted mom to many beloved Basset Hounds and had a special love for flowers and their beauty.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jon Fuqua; her mother-in-law, Judy Fuqua; her sister-in-law, Danette Reagan, and her husband, Monty; her sister, Brenda Cowen, and her son, Drew; and her brother, David Haver, and his son, Ben. She was preceded in death by her mother, Glennis Kaydene Higginbotham; her father, Robert “Bob” Haver; and her father-in-law, Wesley Fuqua.

A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held in the spring of 2027 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Details regarding the service will be shared with family and friends at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, a charity that was meaningful to Sherry.

Sherry will be deeply missed by her husband, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched, the friendships she cherished, and the love she shared throughout her life.
