Shera Ann May

Shera Ann May was born May 3, 1947, in Slaton, Texas to Marvin and Claudine Harris. She died June 18, 2025, at the age of 78.

Shera was raised in Slaton, Texas along with her brother Glen. The family moved to Hereford, Texas and she graduated there. She enjoyed her high school days being a twirler. In fact, she was so sociable that as she got older, she became a successful real estate agent in Amarillo, Texas.

She loved her family and was wife to Doug May for 48 years. She was mother to sons, Lance and Coby, and was an aunt and a grandmother.

Shera is survived by her son Coby and many additional family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband and her son Lance.

The family wants to thank Alisha Christy Michelle, Mark Grandbrook, Anchor of Hope Hospice and especially Yarnell Hardy who was handpicked by Doug to care for Shera's needs as she went through the last years of her life.
