Sheila A. Kohler (née McLoughlin), a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully at her devoted daughter’s home in Dallas, Texas, on March 3, 2026. Sheila was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, William E. Kohler, in March 2023. She was born December 31, 1934, in New York City and was the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Cantwell) McLoughlin. Sheila was the youngest of seven children and was raised in Rockville Centre and Garden City, New York.
Sheila graduated from St. Agnes High School in Rockville Centre, NY, in 1952 and Ladycliff College in Highland Falls, New York, in 1956. The following year, she married William E. Kohler at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, followed by a reception at her parents' home in Garden City, New York. Together, they raised six children on Long Island, New York. In 1988, Bill's career led them to Dallas, Texas, where they formed many lasting friendships and shared a passion for golf. Sheila enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Empty Nesters Club at All Saints Catholic Church in Dallas, as well as member of a Gourmet Dinner Group, where she and Bill entertained friends at their home.
Sheila will be profoundly missed by her six children Elizabeth Reynolds, William E. (Dawn) Kohler, Jr., Carolyn (Kevin) Flaherty, Jennifer (Michael) Jones, Kathleen (Daniel) Kennedy, and Julie Hocker. Her legacy continues through her sixteen grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.

Sheila will be laid to rest following the mass at 12:30 p.m. at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury New York 11590.
