Sharn Bell Williams

Donnett Sharn Bell-Williams was born on February 20, 1960, in Montego Bay, Jamaica to parents Christine Cantero, Herbert and Norma Bell.

As a child she moved to Brooklyn, New York. There she attended Queen of all Saints Catholic school, Saint Nicholas High School and Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School.

Sharn loved doing hair and makeup and attended Robert Fiance Beauty School. Her other passions included designing clothes and dancing. Sharn grew up during the disco era. She went by the name of “Chica”, she and her dance partner Frisco won several “Hustle” dance contests.

She eventually moved to the Dallas metro area where she acquired a taste for fine dining, cooking, baking, and catering. She eventually became a personal assistant and caregiver and her clients adored her. She shared a special bond with many of them.

Sharn is survived by many family members sisters: Paula (Donald) Francesca (Derick), and Sharanda; brothers Robert (Felicia), Dwight (Karen), Mark (Darlene) and Jahmal (Jamila), aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. She loved her family, beloved Menty and treasured her nieces and nephews; Jillian, Angelie, Joshua, Tiffany, Robert Jr, Andrew, Megan, Annika, Derick Jr., Angelo, Novelette, Shanique, Jasmine, Michael, Matthew, Marcus, Justin, Ashley, Aqilah, Mesiah, Allyjah, Ayjah, CJ, and Jiovanni. Sharn’s mother Christine was her best friend. Sharn’s smile was infectious, and her personality was larger than life. She will always live on in our hearts.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, February 4, 2022, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service that will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options.
