Sean Morgan Wimberley was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 15, 1983, and passed unexpectedly on November 18, 2021.
He was home-schooled through high school and attended Lamar University - Port Arthur.
Sean had developed a sense of helping people as a teenager. More than once, he stopped his truck to help someone being taken advantage of and staying with them until the authorities arrived.
His first job was as a Corrections Officer and later as a sworn Deputy Sheriff. While his size (6’7”, 260 lbs) made him appear somewhat like a grizzly bear, which stopped a lot of potential resistance, he also had a soft heart to help elderly people cross busy streets. He also received a certificate in Welding from Navarro College and was a licensed Insurance Agent.
Sean's non-work passion was his children and fishing. He went to baseball games, and drove six hours, one way, to attend a daughter-daddy dance.
His fishing exploits are legendary among his friends and family, but not necessarily all of them for catching a bunch of fish. Some of the fishing trips were closer to Laurel and Hardy than Bill Dance.
One other aspect of his life was training his Black Lab named Cujo-Boy. That Lab was trained beyond belief and would have jumped off of a bridge for Sean. Cujo-Boy passed away in 2012 and our entire family still mourns his loss.
Sean is survived by his parents, William Wimberley, Jr. (Alice); son, Sean Alexander Wimberley; daughter, Morgan Elizabeth Wimberley; sisters, Amy Chisholm (Brent) and Wanda White (Michael); nephews, Cooper Chisholm, Luke Chisholm and Michael White, Jr. and niece, Ashley Burris (Cody).
