Scott William Ehley

Scott William Ehley was born on June 1, 1955 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Dennis George and Ethel June (Barth) Ehley.  Scott died unexpectedly on September 6, 2019 at the age of 64 while vacationing in Hawaii.

He was voted “most handsome” by his peers his junior year in high school. He attended college at The University of Texas in Austin where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business in 1977. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and initiated in 1974. On April 4, 1983 and December 7, 1986 respectively, he welcomed his daughter and son, who were very important parts of his life. In January 2012, he married his wife Vickie (Jackalone) Ehley in a beautiful church ceremony in Carrollton, Texas. Scott was currently Executive Vice President of Property Advisers Realty, and life-long resident of Texas.

Scott enjoyed traveling with Vickie, hunting, and spending time in the water (pool, lake, ocean). He was very handy and spent his free time working on home renovation projects and various repairs at his kid’s homes as well. From 1977 to the late 1980s, he owned his own construction company, Scott Ehley Co.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many - always willing to lend a helping hand. He shared a deer lease with his brother, Pete and several close friends. He would hunt regularly with his son and son-in-law. He loved spending time with his grandsons and was very excited about his first granddaughter’s upcoming arrival.

Scott is survived by his wife, Vickie (Jackalone) Ehley, his son, Scott Alan Ehley, his daughter and her husband, Christen and Bret Lynch, his stepchildren, Christy and Rudy Salinas and Tommy Jackalone, and his siblings Jacqueline Park, Pete Ehley and Candace Elam. He also has three beloved grandsons, Sebastian (9), Ethan (7), and William “Liam” (3). He was expecting his first granddaughter later this year. He was predeceased in death by his father, Dennis Ehley and his mother, Ethel June Ehley.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Scott’s life on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options.
