Samuel Thompson

Samuel Lawrence Thompson, age 83, of Plano, Texas passed away on August 13, 2018. He was born on September 1, 1934 in Washington, D.C. to parents George Hiller Thompson and Alma Elizabeth Bragdon Thompson.

Sam served his country as a United States Navy Corpsman and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired firefighter from the city of Alexandria, Virginia and also worked for the city of Plano Fire Department as a dispatcher upon his move to Texas from Virginia.

Sam was predeceased by his loving wife Thelma A. Thompson and his daughter Kathleen Thompson. He is survived by his daughter Linda Pherigo, son Paul Thompson, seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service, with military honors will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Plano Mutual Cemetery with Pastor Robert Matthews officiating.
