Samuel (Sam) Louis Money

Samuel Louis Money was born July 15, 1945 in Sante Fe New Mexico to parents Guy Franklin and Mary (Turner) Money. He was raised with three brothers in Oak Cliff Dallas. Sam was employed by his father, who ran a local barbecue restaurant called Fred’s Barbecue.

His proudest moment was being in the U.S. Army and serving during Vietnam. After the military he started his career in the private investigation/loss prevention field. In 1970 he married the love of his life Silvia Mistrot and they had two daughters, Nicole and Stephanie. They were married until her passing in April 2016. Sam was a hero until the end; loyal to his country and family.

Sam is survived by his two daughters Stephanie Money, Nicole Taquino and her husband Corky; grandchildren Katarina Lees, Cade and Madeline Taquino; brothers; Tommy Money, Mark Money and his wife Rhonda, Guy Money Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 15, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023.  Sam will be laid to rest with his wife Silvia in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Columbarium.  Following the inurnment there will be a reception in the Parish Hall.
