Rose Mary Mcmanaman

December 10, 1930 — July 15, 2023

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved grandmother, Rosemary McManaman. Surrounded by the love of her family, she joined her heavenly Father at 92 years old, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion that will forever inspire us.

Rosemary's life journey began in the quaint town of Macy, Nebraska, where she was born in 1930 as one of thirteen children. Growing up in a large and loving family instilled in her a deep appreciation for the bonds of kinship, and she carried that sense of closeness with her throughout her life.

In her youth, Rosemary met the love of her life, Leonard McManaman. United in marriage, they embarked on a beautiful journey together, settling in Dallas to build their home and raise their children. Their love and devotion to each other served as an enduring example to all who knew them.

As a devout Catholic, Rosemary's faith was at the core of her being. She was an active and cherished member of her local parish, where she found solace, guidance, and community. Her unwavering belief in the power of prayer and her deep reverence for God were evident in the way she lived her life with kindness, compassion, and selflessness.

Rosemary's family was the center of her world. She embraced the roles of wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with boundless love and dedication. Her daughter, Angela, and son, Daniel, were the pride of her life, and she poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them. As a grandmother, she delighted in showering her grandchildren with affection and wisdom, leaving an indelible impact on each of their lives.

Rosemary possessed a generous spirit and a warm, welcoming nature that drew people to her. Her home was a place of comfort and hospitality, where loved ones always found a listening ear and a comforting embrace. Her culinary skills, steeped in family tradition, brought joy to countless gatherings and celebrations.

Aside from her family, Rosemary was a friend to many, offering a compassionate ear and sage advice to those in need. Her genuine care for others extended beyond her immediate circle, as she engaged in various charitable endeavors, extending a helping hand to those less fortunate.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Rosemary McManaman, we find solace in the cherished memories we shared with her. Her legacy of love, faith, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Angela; as well as five grandchildren, Leonard, Michael, Jennifer, Kyle and Andrew. She was a great-grandmother to Chase, Paige, Ava, Emma, Nikolai, John, Harper and Kellin. Whose lives were forever enriched by her presence.

May the sisters of her parish also keep our grandmother in their prayers.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

A funeral service will be held in at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75023. If desired, you may access the following link to watch a live webcast of the service:
