Plano, Texas

Ronnie Nall’s life’s journey ended at age 82 on November 12, 2025.

Ronnie Lee Nall was born on February 21, 1943, to Frances and Mildred Nall. Ronnie grew up in Garland with his three brothers. In 1959 the family moved to Wylie where he attended Wylie High School and in 1960, he met the love of his life and they were married two years later June 22, 1962.

Ronnie lived a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and his love for the Plano Wildcats football and basketball teams.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Carolyn of 63 years; two brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous other very special lifelong friends. Also survived by Carolyn’s cousins who welcomed Ronnie into their family with open arms.

At age 16 Ronnie began his life career with Safeway Stores while still in high school. He started as a package clerk, checker, and produce clerk. In 1962 he was offered the opportunity to train as a journeyman meat cutter. After they married, he continued his training in Greenville, Sherman, and Gainesville with the Safeway Stores. In 1968, Ronnie was transferred to the Dallas District, and they bought their first home in Plano.

Ronnie enjoyed 28 years of employment with Safeway and when Safeway left Texas he was employed by Tom Thumb. He worked for Tom Thumb for the next 20 years where he was recognized for his outstanding meat cutting ability.

Ronnie and Carolyn enjoyed traveling to numerous places in the U.S. and made multiple trips to Colorado and the Hawaiian Islands. Ronnie met a friend, Dennis, at Safeway, who was a native of Hawaii. Dennis was raised on the island of Kauai and when they visited there, he gave them a personal guided tour of the island.

They also enjoyed visiting family in Oregon and exploring the Pacific Northwest from Washington to California.

To fulfill a childhood dream of his, Carolyn surprised Ronnie with a weeklong vacation to Disney World for his 60th Birthday!

Ronnie was an excellent Nature photographer, and they have many of his photos framed and displayed on the walls of their home. He won several Ribbons in a photo contest at the Heard Museum for his breathing taking photos of Nature.

They are members of First Christian Church, Plano and served faithfully for many years making numerous lifelong friends.

Our heartfelt thanks to our care givers from Discovery at Home: Stacey and Ruth Ann, his nurses and Steve and Rajltha his physical therapist.
