Robert Lee Waggoner

Bob Waggoner was a devoted dad, beloved grandad, and proud great grandad who went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2025.

Bob was born in Longview, Texas, on September 13, 1941, to Dora and Troy Waggoner. He graduated from Longview High School in 1960 and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s in accounting in 1963.

Bob began his career with a CPA firm in Austin, Texas, and later moved to Dallas, where he worked in accounting with Collins Radio and later with Recognition Equipment. He then began his real estate career in 1974 and later joined the Staubach Company in 1980. In 1985, Bob established his real estate company, Waggoner Realty LLC, where he enjoyed a highly successful career. During this time, he also achieved a designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member. Bob was also a successful stockbroker with Crescent Securities in Dallas until he retired in 2018.

Bob is survived by his beautiful daughter, Kristin Waggoner Hiney, and her husband, John; his granddaughter, Kylee Bedford, and her husband, Luke, and their children, Liv, Layne, and Lawson; and his grandson, Scott Hiney, and his wife, Morgan, and their daughters, Clarke and Molly. He was preceded in death by son, Scott Andrew Waggoner; his parents, Troy William and Dora Waggoner; his brother, Troy Waggoner Jr., and his wife, Kathy; his brother, Rodney Waggoner; his sister, Betty Gammon, and her husband, James; and his sister, Dorothy Flanagan, and her husband, Jim.

Bob was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church, where he served his Lord as a deacon, usher, and usher leader.

Bob was a devoted fan of the Texas Longhorns, where he was a season ticket holder of the team from 1963 until his passing.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 17th at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.
