Robert John Tienken, 72, of The Colony, Texas, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Carrollton, Texas.
Robert was born on April 20, 1954, in Webb City, Missouri, and was adopted by Mildred and John Tienken. He spent much of his early life in Ottawa, Kansas, where he attended Ottawa High School, a part of the 1972 class.
Following high school, Robert pursued his interest in technology at Electronics Institute, where he earned a certificate in electronics engineering. In 1976, he moved to The Colony, Texas, where he built a life and found his forever home.
Robert was a man who valued family above all else. He shared a close and special bond with his daughter, Jessica, who was not only his child but also his best friend. Together, they created a lifetime of memories filled with love and laughter.
He was a proud grandfather to Sage Bonner and Harper Tienken, whom he loved deeply. Robert was their biggest supporter, especially when it came to sports. Whether on the field or in the stands, he was always cheering them on and encouraging their passion for the game.
Robert will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his devotion to his family, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Tienken; and his grandsons, Sage Bonner and Harper Tienken.
Celebration of life details will be announced at a later date.
