Robert Shane Rodgers

Robert Shane Rodgers was born on June 6, 1984 in Dallas, Texas to Robert (RG) and Tracey Rodgers. Shane lived in Plano where he went to the same schools that his mother attended. He had a real talent for art and would draw pictures that were both inspiring and influential. Shane found his niche when he went to work for Murray Hill Research, where he was a top producer for the company. When he was on a call and knew he would get the recruit, his foot would start shaking and his cubicle would rattle as he would do the “happy feet” dance. Then, quietly you could hear him say, “YES”!

Shane dearly loved his mother. She never stopped believing in him, visiting and encouraging him during the most difficult times of his life. His smile was beautiful and his heart was huge. Shane played basket ball and sang in the school choir and around age 12, he was especially fond of playing baseball. He was always creative and enjoyed making personal greeting cards for every special occasion for his grandma.

He was so very proud of his son, Shane. He would often brag about his good grades on his report card and his athletic abilities.

Shane was preceded in death by his father Robert Rodgers, grandparents Marion and Doreen Rodgers, Kenneth Borgne and his Uncle Dennis Borgne. He is survived by his mother Tracey Borgne Rodgers, sons Robert Shane and Michael Ryder Rodgers, sister Machelle and brother Walter, nephews Robert, DJ and Jaden Rodgers, niece Sierra Smith, grandmother Sharon Borgne and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Allen Family Funeral Options. Words of Remembrance will be spoken at 7:00 P.M., officiated by Dr. David Harms. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017, 1:00 pm at Plano Mutual Cemetery at the intersection of 18 ^th Street and Jupiter Road in Plano.
