Robert James Patterson III was born on June 19, 1980 in Shattock, Oklahoma to parents Robert James Patterson, Jr. and Ann Marie Nelson. He died on July 8, 2018, in Rockwall, Texas. Words will never be enough to capture who Robert truly was or what he meant to us.
He was a man of many names: Robert, RJ, Ricky Bobby, Rick James, Son, Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew, and Friend. He was also a man of many talents: Electrician, Carpenter, Mechanic, and Artist.
The main word that continually comes to mind is Family. Those lucky enough to have their lives cross paths with his were drawn in by his magnetism, generosity and love. His infectious laughter, beautiful smile and joy of life drew us all together and forged the family he always longed for.
Robert was the hardest working man, busiest man and always on the go. He constantly had multiple projects going, all labors of love. He worked hard, to provide for his family, to be a helping hand for friends and on his personal projects that brought joy, not only to himself, but those around him as well.
His generosity, his acceptance of others, and his willingness to help others in times of need knew no bounds. Robert was a Shepherd who tended to his flock. He gave shelter and succor to those in need. He mended the broken, brought smiles to the saddened and was a shoulder to cry on, a pillar of strength to lean against.
The world has lost one of the most fantastic and wonderful human beings to ever walk this Earth. Robert was a Saint. He would give everything he had to anyone who needed it. All lives are richer for knowing him.
The despair and the sorrow of our loss shall fade with time, but it will never disappear. The memories of Robert, his deeds, his good works and who he was to us, will never disappear.
