Robert Morton Flagg III

Robert Morton Flagg III, age 91, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2026, in McKinney, Texas.

Bob was born March 12, 1935, in Houston, Texas. During his childhood he enjoyed playing baseball, fishing with his dad, Boy Scouts, and summer vacations with his grandparents where he fondly remembered singing church hymns on the front porch swing.

Bob graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas with a BBA degree, majoring in accounting. He went on to work 15 years in corporate accounting, followed by 20 years in public accounting, and ultimately ran his own tax business.

Bob had a strong patriotic spirit. He served in the Texas Air National Guard and was an active member of the Sons of the American Revolution and The Mayflower Society.

Bob’s interests included researching family genealogy, history, the National Parks, and enjoying his collection of antique photography, artwork, and furniture. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including walks with his beloved dogs, yard work, and reading. But most of all, he loved being a father. This brought the most joy to his life.

Bob was firm in his faith in God and wrote this to be shared when it was his time to go to Heaven. “We have a mighty God who will never let us down though all our world should fall apart around us."

He is survived by his daughter Erica Wilson and her husband Philip Beethoven-Wilson; granddaughters Emery and Joanna; and sister Barbara Joan Flagg. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Robert Morton Flagg Jr. and Hazel Ruth Clouse.

A graveside ceremony will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday September 28, 2026, at Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
