Robert "Bob" Ferrier

January 28, 1937 — January 21, 2025

Robert Foster Ferrier graduated to Heaven on January 21, 2025, at the age of 87. Robert, affectionately known as Bob, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to God, his family and community.

Robert was born on January 28, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of Samuel Foster Ferrier and Opal Bertha Brooks.  He attended Polytechnic High School and completed his graduate studies at Texas Weslyan College.  While at TWC, Robert served on the Student Ministerial Association and the Student Council of Religious Activities. He also played on the football team and tennis team. He was active in the Theater Department at TWC and performed at school and at Casa Manana Theater in Fort Worth.

After graduating from TWC, Robert attended seminary at Perkins School of Theology at SMU.  While attending Perkins, he pastored churches in the Fort Worth area.  After leaving the employment of the Methodist Church, he continued his commitment to his Christian calling by volunteering his time ministering in churches in Lubbock, Denver, Amarillo and Dallas.

Robert was an accomplished photographer and videographer and loved flying and collecting kites. He was a loyal Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboy fan and attended many games to cheer on his favorite teams. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and spent many happy times fishing with his family at Lake Amistad, Del Rio, Texas.

Robert will be remembered for his unwavering love, integrity, character and dedication. He truly was an example of 1 Corinthian 13:4-7 kind of love. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the memories he created with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; Sam and Opal Ferrier; his brother, Richard Ferrier; his son, Darin Ferrier and his nephew, Sean Ferrier.  He is survived by his loving wife, June Ferbstein; his son, Ryan Ferrier and his stepdaughter, Kelly Holly; his grandchildren, Lilly Ferrier, Reese Ferrier, Lisa Prezkuta, and Nikki Pecoraro; great-grandchildren, Hudson Pecoraro, Dawson Pecoraro, Emerson Pecoraro, Ethan Prezkuta, Isaiah Prezkuta, Ivah Ferrier, Aliza Ferrier, Elizabeth Kernan and Alexander Kernan.

Robert Foster Ferrier's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and dedication. Though he is no longer with us, the life he lived will continue to guide and inspire us to live like Jesus Christ.
