Renee Marie Keney

January 29, 1987 — November 9, 2023

Renée Marie Keney passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 36 after a battle with cancer.  In the midst of our sorrow, we entrust her soul to God’s merciful embrace.

From the day she was born in Houston, Renée had an ever-present smile and a face full of cheer.  Those who knew Renée saw her joy and fascination with people and her excitement at being with those enjoying their lives around her.  She was always happy to join her family on vacation at the beach or her mom at dance class, and absolutely loved Disney musicals!  Countless people were touched by Renée’s innocent spirit, even after meeting her just one time.

Renée is survived by her devoted mother Kim Vu Keney; her loving brothers Nicholas Keney, Locke Keney and his wife Kyoko Okada, Tom Keney and his wife Brie Sawka; nieces Nanako Keney, Hanako Keney, Keira Keney, Kalli Keney; nephew James Keney; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Keney.

She is at peace now in heaven with our father Douglas, and though she has left a hole in our hearts, our family knows she is sharing her infectious smile and laughter together with those in her forever home.  As our beloved enters the heavenly realm, we trust in the promise of Jesus: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.  May God's peace fill the hearts of her family and friends during this time of sorrow.”

Our family will have a visitation from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Allen Family Funeral Options.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church: 1914 Ridgeview Dr, Allen, Texas 75013. For those wishing to join via webcast: https://vimeo.com/event/3883130
