Raymundo I. Martinez, Jr.

Raymundo Ibea Martinez Jr., 83 yrs. old of Plano, Texas, died Friday morning of 2 ^nd August, 2019 at Medical City Dallas Hospital.  He was a native of Malinao Aklan, Philippines born on November 4, 1935 to Raymundo Martinez, Sr. and Concepcion Ibea.  Raymundo was the eight child of nine siblings (Hilda, Patricia, Jose, Pablito, Manolito, Lydia, Athena and Evelyn) and including half-sisters and half-brother (Imelda, Anita, Concepcion and Ramonito).

He acquired an associate degree in Geotetic Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines. He worked for the Philippine government as a nursing attendant for the Leprosy Disease Control of the Department of Health, then as a mail letter carrier in several towns in Capiz, Philippines where he worked his way up to Postmaster. He retired after serving in the government for over thirty two years.

Raymundo, Jr. was a resident of Mambusao, Capiz, Philippines when he migrated to Plano, Texas USA in 2007 to be with his beloved daughter, Rena Martinez.  He resided there for more than 12 years.

Raymundo, Jr. was a devoted Roman Catholic, a loving husband and a great father raising an engineer, a Roman Catholic priest, an aircraft technician, a nurse and a pharmacist. He is survived by his wife, Egipciaca Bayot; his children, Pio Rey, Rev. Fr. Ray Bernard, Raygie, Rena and Nina and  grandchildren, John Cymund, Agnes, Henry Adrian, Loren, Emma, Stella, Nino and Vyness.

There will be a Visitation/Vigil/Rosary from 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Allen Family Funeral Options.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 West Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas with a visitation one hour prior starting at 10:30 am.
