Piper Ann Spry

Piper Ann Spry passed away peacefully after a long hard-fought battle with metastatic breast cancer on July 24, 2026 at the age of 67. She was surrounded by her loving husband of 43 years, her children, mother, and sisters.

Piper was born on September 12, 1958 to Robert and Shirley Spry. She graduated from Lowell High School and participated in volleyball, softball, track and field. She then went on to attend Purdue University where she played club rugby, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy and met her favorite person to annoy, Steve Keller.

After graduation Piper and Steve married in 1982 and began their life together in Houston, Texas. Piper built a successful career at Texas Instruments, where she worked for 20 years, first as a process engineer and later as a reliability engineer. In 2000, Texas Instruments relocated the family to Plano, Texas where Piper continued to work until her retirement in 2008.

Piper and Steve were blessed with two children, Sheridan of Hilliard, Ohio and Reece of Plano, Texas. She is survived by her husband Steve, her children Sheridan & Reece, her mother Shirley Spry, her sisters Mela Levin (Orlando, Florida) and Dawn Brown (Lowell, Indiana), and brother Scott Spry (Lowell, Indiana).

Piper found great joy in spending time, laughing, and supporting her family and friends. She was always happy to lend a listening ear, words of encouragement, or helping hand when a friend was in need. A devoted mother, Piper enjoyed supporting her children’s soccer teams and friends for many years, Piper helped manage both recreational and select soccer teams by coordinating uniforms, travel, tournaments, recruiting, and countless other activities. She also enjoyed yoga and working on many projects around the house.

Piper will be remembered for her strength, compassion, sense of humor, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her kindness touched many lives, and her legacy of love, service, and perseverance will continue to live on in all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
