Paul H. Boudreaux passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the age of 58. Paul was born in 1966 in Lafayette, Louisiana to parents Carole Ann Wichterich and Dr. James Louis Boudreaux.
Paul attended and graduated in 1987 from the University of Louisiana Lafayette. He started his career in Houston at Setpoint Inc. From there he moved to Plano and started working with BNR/Nortel in Richardson. In 2007, Paul started working at Alcatel-Lucent. Then he worked with Juniper Networks, and then Hitachi. In 2016, he began at Nokia where he worked until his death. He worked in the telecommunications industry most of his career. He worked with people from all over the world.
In his final time, he kept a strong will and upbeat spirit. He chose to stay mentally engaged by continuing to work with his friends and colleagues at Nokia and AT&T right up to the end of his days. He was heavily engaged in his care and interacting with people in the ALS community. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends as they kept his spirits high.
He found solace in the catholic community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton near his home in Plano, Texas. Paul was a world traveler. His many business trips took him all over the globe during his career, including 36 countries across 5 continents. Throughout Paul’s career, he received many outstanding and distinguishing awards. As well, he has well over 10 patents that are still being used today.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Paula, of more than 33 years. They have three adult children, all living in the Dallas area: John Boudreaux, Abigail Boudreaux, and Joseph Boudreaux. His siblings include James Boudreaux and wife Cathy of Carencro, Louisiana; Kathy Ardoin and husband James of Lafayette, Louisiana; Edwin Boudreaux and wife Shannon Arthur of Tampa, Florida; Mark Boudreaux of Youngsville, Louisiana; Robert Boudreaux of Mandeville, Louisiana; Yvonne Winchell and husband Max of Destrehan, Louisiana; and Richard Boudreaux of Lafayette Louisiana. Paul also has two stepbrothers: Steve Duncan and wife Jane of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Charles Duncan of Lafayette, Louisiana. Paul has numerous nieces and nephews that he loved and left behind.
There will be a rosary at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2024, followed by a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options.
A mass to celebrate Paul’s life will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Bruce Bradley. If you wish to view the mass via webcast, please visit: https://youtube.com/live/_s00ItoBCbE?feature=share
